On Sunday 4th July 2010 the Ravensworth Junior section held their Club Championship.

On a very windy day that would have tested many an adult golfer, our brave and hardy Juniors participated in the Junior Club Championship.  A good turnout of 27 Juniors of all abilities turned out for the day with many completing the full 36 holes.

After the first round, the current holder of the title, Joe Fraser, was leading the competinon from his own "big hitting"  cousin Louis by 1 shot with Nathan Flaherty a futher 4 shots behind.  However, as all members of Ravensworth know, our Junior section are made of stern stuff these days and by the 18th tee of the 2nd round, Nathan had fought back to lead Joe by one shot. A thrilling duel ensued with both golfers achievng excellent brirdies up the last to leave Nathan victorious.

Congratualtions also go to Alex Clark  who achieved a hole in one on the tricky par 3, 7th hole and Scott Dellow  who won the Best Rabitt.

Well done to all our Juniors and the JLO, John Graham, assited by Neil Burke, for a great day.
